Support Groups
Meeting others who have lost vision can help one to feel less alone or misunderstood. SABVI’s monthly Sight Loss Group meetings provide a wonderful opportunity for clients and their friends and family members to talk with those who personally understand that sight loss can be frightening and challenging if you do know have the best resources and support. Clients share stories with each other about everyday challenges and triumphs in adapting to vision loss while learning new information to achieve maximum independence and life satisfaction.
Sight Loss Support Group meets at the following times in our varied locations:
Lancaster: Fourth Thursday of the month from 1-2PM at SABVI (717-291-5951)
Lebanon: Third Wednesday of the month from 1-2PM a the Alley Center (717-274-6711)
In-Sight Group
SABVI’s In-Sight Group is an educational program designed to provide practical, real-life applications to enhance daily living skills. SABVI invites local speakers from outside organizations to present on a wide range of interesting topics with the focus of educating on both visual and non-visual related topics.
